Before Nadya Suleman gave birth to octuplets she was investigated by L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Since then cops have been called to the house a number of times. A neighbor complained that her other six children were not fed or clean. The charges were dropped when this claim was unfounded.
Since then the cops have been called when:
-one of Nadya's children locked themselves in a room
-one of the children went "missing",
-one of the kids randomly called 911 for no reason
-by neighbors twice when the front door was left open
-to control reporters after the birth of the octuplets

Do you think “Octomom” should be allowed custody of her children or not?
Should there be a limit on how many embryos are inserted into a women?

  1. This is ridiculous. This woman should be hospitalized, she obviously cannot take care of her children, let alone 14 when multiples of them are the same age or are around it. I find as though maybe she is trying to find restitution in having so many children, but she shouldn't use them as an excuse to try and make her sad life better. She need psychiatric help if she can't even keep track of them, especially when one leaves to go for a walk around the block with their grandmother. They either need a father figure, which isn't possible because I doubt any guy would marry a woman with the baggage of 14 children, terrible but true. Or, child services need to evaluate her over a longer period of time, not just go and check in for one day.

  2. This woman is obviously unstable and unfit to be a mother, but I do not think that because of this one incident we should determine wether there should be a limit on the number of embryos that can be inserted into a woman. They don't usually all take like these did, and putting a limit on this would be unfair for people who cannot conceive naturally and must turn to this resource. Even though this woman took it too far, not every person trying to create a family is like that and there may be people who have the means and support system to have octuplets, and they should be free to do that. It is too bad that this woman has brought all these lives into the world basically just to gain publicity, but we should all stop feeding into her desire for attention and leave her to take care of her kids.

  3. Yes i completely agree with you. She said she was handling the six well all by herself, when clearly she wasnt. If she can't keep tabs on six children, she won't be able to do it with 14.
And they just released news that she admits to being a stripper when she was 18...

  4. Update: There has now been news that Octomom will possibly be getting her own reality tv show.
Personally, I like Jon and Kate Plus 8, but now there's 18 Kids and Counting, Twins,Twins, and Sextuplets,Table for 12, etc.. The idea of following these large families around and filming their everyday life is,in my opinion, overrated.

  5. its pretty sad what people do to get attention. She obviously cant handle all of those kids. No one in their right mind would be able to juggle all the responsibility by themselves. If she gets her own T.V. show it will giver her what she wanted, but it wouldn't be good for the kids to grow up in the spot light of the camera. The DCFS should step up and do their job, and actually look into what is going on with the family, instead of turning their heads and looking the other way.

  6. I just think it's sad that this woman think the best thing for her kids is to keep them all. Personally if that occurred to me yeah it would be hard but I would think it best for the kids that they be adopted to other families.

  7. It's probably for the best that she worry about the kids future and consider letting them go to a foster home but also the children would probably want to stay with them regardless. So I think the choice should be up to them and as long as she can support them and everyone knows she can well I think she should be allowed to keep them.

  9. If there is solid evidence that "octomom" is an unqualified parent, then she should not be allowed custody of her children. If she does, however, show that she can provide for her children, and really truly loves being a mother, than we shouldn't be so harsh. I am curious, however, as to how she gets her money and is able to provide, not only emotionally, but financially, for her children. What I do know, is that she should be on close watch, and her children should be watched twice as hard, to make sure that they are getting the proper lifestyle to thrive.

  10. She is so ridiculous, this whole baby freedom thing is getting way out of control in my opinion.
